Chris started teaching in Calgary at Fred Astaire Dance Studios in 1978. Chris stayed in Calgary for 2 years before moving to Atlanta, Georgia where he joined the Fred Astaire Dance Studio. In Atlanta, he travelled all over the south competing in the South East pro circuit. Upon returning, Chris started VIP Dance Studio in Calgary. While the studio was successfully run for 2 years, Chris and his then partner were asked to perform on cruiseships. After 13 years aboard ships and 6 different cruiselines, it was time to put their dance and magic act to sleep.

Now based in Kelowna Chris has a new dance philosophy. "99% of all dance students will never perform on a stage, but 100% of dancers will have to dance at a wedding or other function. I want those 100% to feel comfortable and have fun every time they go out."

Co-founder of the UBC Okanagan Ballroom Dance Club, Julianne Siewert is an ambitious student with a passion for teaching dance. She has now been a certified ballroom dance instructor for the past 3 years, and gives her students a fun and exciting learning environment suitable for all levels!
